San Antonio 2018 The final round of the National Champi- onship will be contested on the AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio, where Tom Lively, CGCS, a 36-year member of GCSAA, is the director of golf course operations. Like Cordillera, the Oaks is no stranger to hosting big events. A little more than two months after the GCSAA tournament leaves town, the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open will be played there. Also playing host to action in the GCSAA Golf Championships will be the AT&T Can - yons Course at TPC San Antonio; the Resort Course at La Cantera Resort and Spa, where five-year GCSAA member Dustin Strickland serves as superintendent; and the Quarry Golf Club, where Bruce Burger, CGCS, a 29-year GCSAA member, oversees maintenance. Festivities begin on Saturday, Feb. 3, with the Four-Ball Competition. Two-round stroke play in the National Championship and flighted play in the Golf Classic take place Sunday and Monday, Feb. 4 and 5, while those interested in a one-day fun event can take part in Monday's Shamble Tournament. The J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country will serve as the host hotel for the event. — Scott Hollister, editor-in-chief GCSAA's Annual Meeting and Election is Thursday, Feb. 8, during the Golf Industry Show in San Antonio.
