80 GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT 03.17 Harper Turf Equipment unveiled the TV35 , its next generation of self-propelled turf vacuums. The redesigned vacuum boasts timesaving and economical features, according to the company, such as the remote- mounted radiator and oil cooler for improved tempera- ture control. The hydraulic-powered cooling fan can be reversed to blow debris off the screen. When it's time to service the machine, the screen can be easily removed for deep cleaning. The operator station layout addresses per- formance and well-being through the ergonomic control placement and convenient customization. Controls for the unit have been moved to the right of the operator, which translates into greater productivity and increased visibility. The new, fully adjustable suspension seat reduces driver discomfort and improves posture. Brake-release tools and cylinder stops can be conveniently stored in the operator station's toolbox. A manually controlled hydrostatic foot pedal provides a wide variety of speed selections for com- fort and convenience, and lets the user keep both hands on the steering wheel while adjusting ground speed and direction. The system increases pedal feedback, boosting control and performance. The more accessible Kubota en- gine is available in diesel or gasoline models: The 44-hp, Tier 4 Interim turbocharged diesel engine combines clean and quiet power, while the spark-ignited 49-hp gas engine mirrors Kubota's diesel line, the company says. Contact Harper Industries, 800-835-1042 (www.harperturfequip Briggs & Stratton introduced what the company says is the first available Bluetooth-enabled portable gen- erator. The Briggs & Stratton 8,000-watt Elite Series portable generator with StatStation wireless fea- turing Bluetooth connectivity allows the operator to easily and conveniently monitor the generator from the comfort of home or office. The StatStation wireless app offers visibility to the fuel gauge and run time left before needing to refuel; percent of available watts being consumed; maintenance reminders (spark plug, oil and air filters); total hours on the generator (hour meter); dealer locator for servicing needs; and reference materials (operator's manual, quick startup and shutdown guide, FAQs, and how-to videos). The StatStation app is free and available in the Apple and Google Play stores. It is certified for use on iPhone 6 and above running at least iOS 9, or on Samsung Galaxy S6 and above running at least Android 6.0.1.
