Mr. Benoit, a 49-year member of GCSAA, served his country in World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy's amphibious landing force. He participated in 11 invasions in the Pacific, and was discharged in 1947 as a chief petty officer. A past president of the Finger Lakes GCSA, Mr. Benoit was involved with numerous golf course construction projects. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joann Benoit; sons, Charles (Rose) Benoit, Bill (Donna) Leasure, Francis Lea- sure and Thomas (Tricia) Leasure; daugh- ters, Helen Benoit, Barbara Gardner, Anna (RD) DeZarn and Teresa (Corey) Keyes; sister, Jeannette Pieniadz; grandchildren, Stephen (Kathy) Leasure, Christina Pfeffer, Jonathan DeZarn, Daegan Keyes, Isaiah Keyes, Andrea Leasure, Teresa (M.
