PBI/Gordon Corp. announced that its Katana Turf Herbicide received EPA approval on expanded labeling for use on professionally managed sports turf. Previously, it had been approved only for professionally managed college and professional sports felds. Additionally, Katana is now EPA-registered for use as a spot weed treatment on residential turf. Currently available in most southern and transition zone states, these new uses are pending acceptance in California.
