76 GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT 08.19 Suståne products are distributed in over 60 countries on five continents worldwide. Suståne's most widely adopted product, All-Organic 4-6-4, will be immediately available in the Philippines through Nutranta Inc. Visit Suståne, www. sustane.com. Moleaer Inc., manufacturer of industrial-scale nano- bubble generators, has expanded its product line with the new Clear nanobubble generator . Clear, an alternative to chemistry and traditional aeration to improve water quality, is the most effective technology to control algae, the company says. The Clear nanobubble generator is a gas-injection system that converts air into trillions of nanobubbles, ~100 nanometers in size, dissolving oxygen with greater than 90% efficiency. Negatively charged, neutrally buoyant nanobubbles deliver oxygen to the entire body of water, irrespective of depth, and penetrate the muck layer. Sustaining dissolved oxygen throughout the water column helps mitigate algae growth by reducing the nutrient recycling rate from the sediment. SOLitude Lake Management, Moleaer's launch customer for Clear, deployed the nanobubble generator at a Florida pond plagued with blue-green and filamentous algae. "Florida's warm climate makes treatment of harmful algae blooms challenging," said Bo Burns, market development manager for SOLitude Lake Management. "We had tried several other solutions with ineffective results before turning to nanobubbles. After three weeks, Moleaer's nanobubble The Cat 299D2 XHP Land Management Compact Track Loader is a purpose-built machine solution for customers involved in demanding vegetation-management applications, including mulch- ing, brush cutting, vegetation control and mowing. This segment-focused machine delivers the advantages of efficiency and economy in specific applications, including site preparation, utility right-of-way clearing, vegetation management for fire prevention, railroad maintenance- of-way, agriculture and forestry, the company says. The 299D2 XHP Land Management machine's powerful Cat C3.8 engine, rated at 110 gross horsepower (82 kW), combines with its high-flow/high-pressure auxiliary hy- draulic system — 40 gpm at 4,061 psi (150 liters/minute at 28,000 kPa) for a calculated hydraulic-horsepower rat- ing of 94 (70 kW) — to ensure optimal performance when powering high-production, hydro-mechanical attachments, such as mulching heads and industrial brush-cutters. To provide longer intervals of uninterrupted work, the 299D2 XHP Land Management Compact Track Loader has a 58.1-gallon (220-liter) fuel tank, which is 80% larger than the tank on standard 299D2 XHP models and sized to provide an estimated run time of 11 to 12 hours. This machine is also factory-equipped with seal and cover components designed to restrict debris and other material from entering the engine compartment and lower frame.
