Prior to joining PBI-Gordon, Reasor was assistant professor of turfgrass science at Missis- sippi State University, where he oversaw undergraduate education and recruitment, turfgrass breeding and cultivar development, and plant growth regulator research. The Alliance for Low Input Sustainable Turf (A-LIST) announced the appointment of Gregg Mun- shaw, Ph.D. , to the position of research committee chair. The research commit- tee chair is a critical position within the A-LIST and is charged with managing all research-related activities within the organization. In addition to leading the A-LIST research committee (a combined industry/university policy group of researchers and breeders), Munshaw will be responsible for working with university cooperators to manage trials, promoting the program and its benefits through outreach opportuni- ties and ensuring a continued commitment to transpar- ency and integrity at the A-LIST. This appointment is in addition to the work Munshaw continues to undertake at the University of Kentucky. Munshaw has 25 years of direct turfgrass experience, having worked on golf courses, athletic fields, and in teaching, research and extension positions at Mississippi State University and the University of Kentucky. His research and extension programs align closely with the A-LIST's mission of reduc- ing inputs while providing quality turf. A native of western Canada, Munshaw earned his doctorate in turfgrass physiology from Virginia Tech. He also holds bachelor's and master's degrees in turfgrass science from the University of Kentucky. John Deere Golf held a special ceremony to honor its top distributors and sales representatives during the Golf Industry Show in February in San Diego. During the presentation held in the John Deere Golf booth, the brand announced that Greenville Turf and Tractor was named dealer of the year. Others honored were: sales managers of the year ( Jim Roberts , Greenville Turf and Tractor; JP Thibault , Martin-Deerline Equipment; Erik Parker , Erb Turf Equipment; Teddy Ro- sztoczy , Stotz Equipment; and Larry Adcock , Revels Turf and Tractor); and salespeople of the year ( Allan Weed , Greenville Turf and Tractor; Mike McGhee , Green Tractors; Matt Graves , Belkorp G&T; Matt Gardner , Stotz Equipment; and Rusty Willard , JW Turf). The employee-owners of PBI-Gordon announced that Eric Reasor, Ph.D. , joined the company as a research scientist for the southeastern U.S. Based in Dallas, Reasor is responsible for coordinating all research protocols, technical assistance to cooperators, and product support for chan- nel partners and end users in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Reasor holds a doctorate in turfgrass weed science from the University of Tennes- see, where he conducted research programs for off-type grasses in bermudagrass putting greens, participated in extension activities and managed weed science research programs. He earned his Master of Science in plant sciences from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science in crop and soil environmental sciences from Aquatrols, manufacturer of soil surfactants and related technologies, promoted Southeast territory manager Wes Hamm (pictured) to the position of strategic accounts manager. Duncan Stewart-Orris has been hired to take Hamm's position and will oversee Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and southern Virginia. These changes reflect the company's consistent growth within the U.S. and around the globe. Following its acquisition by Rural American Fund in 2015, Aquatrols appointed a new leader- ship team, streamlined operations, instituted an aggressive research and development plan, and expanded product distribution.
