Jacobsen and the R&A support African Turf Academy, and Walker was named student of the year in 2015 at the academy, based at Silver Lakes Golf Estate. Walker has been an assistant greenkeeper at JCB Golf & Country Club in Staffordshire, England, for more than three years. The African Turf Academy offers an International Greenkeeping Qualification, a two-year program of study that runs in conjunction with the Tour Player Development Program. On completion of the course, students receive an internationally recognized certificate in greenkeeping from Elmwood College in St. Andrews, Scotland. Bryan Unruh, Ph.D. , associate center director and professor in the department of environmental horticulture at the University of Florida, received the Turfgrass Producers International 's prestigious Turfgrass Educator Award of Excellence. The award serves to acknowledge Unruh's personal commitment, dedication and positive influence in helping to educate consumers, turfgrass producers and industry profession- als. The award also recognizes his ability to make himself available to address turfgrass questions and concerns that promote the use and benefits of turfgrass. Unruh is the fourth recipient of this award. Previous recipients were Laurie Trenholm (2008), Ali Harivandi (2014) and Grady Miller (2016). The award was presented in February to Unruh at the TPI 2019 International Education Conference in Charlotte, N.C., during TPI's annual business meeting. Profile Products promoted Matt Skinner to national sales manager for the western U.S. He provides support to Profile's western team of regional sales managers and market development managers, ensuring they have what they need to best service Profile's customers. "Matt has accomplished a lot in his time with Profile and has made great strides in market development and distribution management," says Wally Butman, vice president of sales for Profile Products. "In his new role, he will be able to reach even more of our partners and help them find the best solution for their environment." Skinner joined Profile in 2016 as a market development manager/re- gional sales manager. He has over 18 years of experience in consultative sales and project management in erosion control, soil remediation, geosynthetics, engineered plastics and environmental construction. His consulting designs have been successfully applied at hundreds of Superfund sites, mining reclamations, landfills and reservoirs. United Phosphorus Inc. changed its name to UPL NA Inc. , as of Jan. 1. The change was made to more accurately reflect the global brand of its corporate parent and related subsidies, which manufacture and market agrochemicals, industrial chemicals and specialty chemicals worldwide. PrimeraTurf Inc. announced Aquarius Supply as an owner-distributor of Primera, effective last December. Aquarius Supply is a second-generation family business that has served landscape and irrigation professionals from 12 convenient and fully stocked locations throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia regions for almost 50 years. The company is headquartered in Hawthorne, N.J., and its president is Rob Beausoleil, who joined the company on a full-time basis in 1990. Kioti Tractor , a division of Daedong-USA Inc. , continues its commitment to the compact equipment industry in Canada with the opening of a new distribution center in Mississauga, outside of Toronto. The approximately 60,000 square feet of office and distribution space will reduce shipping and delivery times for Kioti's Canadian dealers and increase support for end users. The new distribution center represents Kioti's confidence in the future of its brand in the Canadian market. The National Club Association announced that Strategic Club Solu- tions has joined NCA's corporate partner program as an executive partner. This move positions Strategic Club Solutions as a steadfast supporter of NCA and the advancement of private clubs nationwide.
