Photographer: Thomas Taylor • Title: Assistant golf course superintendent • Course: Myrtle Beach (S.C.) National • GCSAA membership: 14 years • The shot: On the day after Christmas 2018, Taylor captured this shot of the fifth hole on the King's North Course at the 54-hole Myrtle Beach National, looking back toward that hole's tee. He had stopped to speak with a crew member who was raking a nearby bunker, when he turned to see this view. "A lot of times when I think a picture is great, it doesn't always come out as great as in real life," Taylor says. "This was an exception." Mike Weinreich is the GCSAA Class A head superintendent at Myrtle Beach National and a 15-year association member. • Camera: iPhone X
