10.18 GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT 77 course greens, tees and fairways only, Tekken features one convenient rate to control dollar spot, the top disease issue for superintendents. It also can be used to treat anthracnose, brown patch and 18 more of the most problematic diseases for cool- and warm-season turf. Tekken's dual mode of action — through its proprietary blend of active ingredients isofetamid and tebuconazole — provides preventative, systemic control for up to 28 days per application. Its patent-pending formulation delivers increased turf quality and reduces phytotoxicity and thinning of creeping bentgrass (when compared to stand-alone DMI applications). Though it can be used at any time during the year, extensive testing by universities and end users has shown that Tekken is particularly effective at controlling summer stress diseases like dollar spot, brown patch and anthracnose. A FRAC Group 7 + 3 flowable suspension concentrate, it should be used in a regularly scheduled preventive spray program and rotated with products that have different modes of action. Altoz, manufacturer of high-performance zero-turn (ZTR) mowers and what it calls the industry's first tracked ZTR, introduced two 2019 TRX models for this fall: TRX 561 and TRX 354 . Like the original TRX 660 and TRX 610, the TRX 561 and TRX 354 provide patent-pending technology for use on sloped, wet and untamed terrain and will power through the harshest conditions. The TRX 354 was created with the multi-acre homeowner in mind; the TRX 561 is designed for tackling the challenges faced by lawn care professionals. Equipped with rear-mounted tracks and rear tor- sional suspension, the new TRX models help landowners and professionals maintain property that simply could not be cut efficiently or safely with a traditional zero-turn mower, including the area around retention ponds, slopes, lowlands, shore land and rough terrain. All TRX models feature Altoz's patent-pending track system that provides maximum traction and stability with minimal earth compaction and ground disturbance. The TRX 354 and TRX 561 feature a finish cut Aero Deck with adjustable baffles and multiple blade options, 12-way adjustable suspension seat with lumbar support and adjustable arm rests, new engines and graphics/paint combination. The redesigned track drive sprocket has been painted iconic red for visual appeal. Acces- sories for these models include collection systems, chute shutoff, lawn striping kit, receiver and standard hitch, discharge cover and mulch and lighting kits. Independent front suspension is an accessory for the TRX 354, and a power deck lift kit is avail- able for the TRX 561. Visit Altoz, www.altoz.com. Founders Group International's (FGI) TPC Myrtle Beach is undergoing bunker renovations to minimize sand erosion from heavy rainfall. This will improve playing conditions after rough weather and create bunker consistency throughout the course to give players the ultimate PGA Tour course experience. The bunker drainage system is called the Better Billy Bunker, named after its creator, golf course designer Billy Fuller. The Better Billy Bunker has been installed in more than 600 courses across the U.S. and Europe, including six other TPC courses. The new bunker drainage system allows for courses to reduce the workforce required to repair bunkers after heavy rain by more than 80 percent. The renovation will be done in seg- ments and will not interrupt play. TPC Myrtle Beach was designed by Tom Fazio, with help from PGA Tour veteran Lanny Wadkins, who served as the player consultant. The purpose of the system: reduce washouts and protect bunker sand during heavy rain. A 2-inch layer of pea gravel is treated with a unique polymer explicitly designed for bunkers. The gravel layer allows for water to flow quickly to the drain tile. Yamaha Golf-Car Co. launched UMAX Rally , a light utility vehicle, which, it says, has all the game-changing features of the UMAX One and UMAX Two, but now with additional clearance and Yamaha Genuine accessories for the most demanding of commercial job duties.
