Photographer: Ryan Kraushofer • Title: GCSAA Class A superintendent • Course: Westminster National Golf Course, Westminster, Md. • GCSAA membership: 15 years • The shot: Talk about feast or famine: The superintendent at Westminster National captured this shot on the morning of July 1 as he and his team tried to nurse the golf course through a 10-day heat wave. "I took the picture because I thought it was probably what a lot of other superintendents in the Mid-Atlantic region were doing that morning," Kraushofer says. But the days of hand watering didn't last long after this photo was taken, as the region endured its wettest July on record, with the golf course receiving over 9 inches of rain for the month. • Camera: iPhone X
