Christopher John Coneff, 36, died Oct. 20, 2012. Mr. Coneff, a six-year member of GCSAA, was an assistant golf course superintendent at Greystone Golf Club & Banquet Center in Romeo, Mich. Golf had been Mr. Coneff���s passion since he was a young boy. In fact, his very ���rst job was caddying at Great Oaks CC in Rochester Hills, Mich. When he wasn���t on the course, Mr. Coneff spent most weekends ���shing, and was on a quest to catch ���The Lake Orion Dragon��� in Lake Orion, Mich. He was an avid sports fan, and attended every Detroit Lions home game with his father, Anthony, who was his best friend. Mr. Coneff���s loyalty and devotion to his family was one of the attributes many people admired the most about him. As a legacy to Mr. Coneff, these qualities will be instilled in his son, Cody, as his family knows that would have been important to him. Mr. Coneff is survived by his wife, Janette Coneff; a son, Cody John Coneff; parents Anthony and Nancy Coneff; a sister, Ashley Coneff; as well as many other loving family members and friends. In Mr. Coneff���s memory, a college fund has been established for Cody, and donations can be made to The Cody Coneff Revocable Trust Fund at any Chase branch. A golf tournament in memory of Coneff will be June 13, 2013, at Greystone GC. Contact Ashley Coneff (248) 496-2779 for details. Timothy J. Moore, 58, died Nov. 19, 2012. Mr. Moore, a 32-year member of GCSAA, was golf course superintendent at Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, N.Y., for 26 years until he retired in 2009. He was a member of the New York State Turfgrass Association and was a 35-year member of the Metropolitan GCSA, giving much of his time as a volunteer for numerous committees and serving on the board of directors for 16 years. He served that organization as its president in 2002 and 2003. He also was a member of the Hudson Valley GCSA. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children Meredith Moore (���anc�� Alex Sanchez) and Brian Moore; brothers, Patrick (Linda) Moore, Thomas Moore and Frederick Moore; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law William (Rita) Napoleon, Dennis (Ann) Distler and William (Courtney) Distler; an aunt, Charlene Moore; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Carl S. Springer, CGCS Retired, died July 28, 2012. Mr. Springer, a 64-year member of GCSAA, was 95 when he died. He had the distinction of being the longest-serving current member of GCSAA at the time of his passing. Early in his life, Mr. Springer purchased a farm in Akron and transformed it into a golf course, calling it Valley View Golf Club. In 1971, he bought Sycamore Valley Golf Course in Akron and redesigned it. In 1987, Mr. Springer bought Mayfair Country Club. Mr. Springer is survived by his sons, Gary Springer and David Springer; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joseph Martin Wisdorf, 60, died July 2, 2012. Mr. Wisdorf, a 29-year member of GCSAA, was the golf course superintendent at Twin Creeks Golf Club in Allen, Texas. Previously, he was the superintendent at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas, and also at Kings Course at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, Texas. He loved the outdoors and was an avid ���sherman and hunter. He also enjoyed sports, including hockey, football and golf. He was a dedicated Minnesota sports fan. Mr. Wisdorf always had a smile and cherished his role as mentor to his many successful assistants. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wisdorf; two children, Cody McGregor and Jackson Wisdorf; and three brothers, Dan Wisdorf, Dave Wisdorf and Pat Wisdorf.
